Apache Pulsar PMC Chair, CTO, StreamNative
Matteo is the CTO at StreamNative, where he brings rich experience in distributed pub-sub messaging platforms. Matteo was one of the co-creators of Apache Pulsar during his time at Yahoo!. Matteo and Sijie worked to create a global, distributed messaging system for Yahoo!, which would later become Apache Pulsar. Matteo then co-founded Streamlio with Guo, and later served as the Senior Principal Software Engineer at Splunk post-acquisition. Matteo is the PMC Chair of Apache Pulsar, where he helps to guide the community and ensure the success of the Pulsar project. He is also a PMC member for Apache BookKeeper. Matteo lives in Menlo Park, California.

He currently serves as a Developer Advocate for StreamNative where he focuses on strengthening the Apache Pulsar community through education and evangelization. Prior to that he was a principal software engineer on the messaging team at Splunk, and Director of Solutions for two Big Data startups; Streamlio and Hortonworks.
Senior Developer Advocate, AWS
Ricardo is Senior Developer Advocate at AWS, working in the developer relations team for North America. With +20 years of experience, he may have learned a thing or two about distributed systems, messaging, fast data analytics, databases, and observability. Before AWS, he worked for software vendors like Elastic, Confluent, and Oracle. Ricardo is well known for his remarkable ability to explain complex topics. He cunningly breaks them down into bite-sized pieces until anyone can understand. While not working, he loves barbecuing in his backyard with his family and friends, where he finally gets the chance to talk about anything unrelated to computers. He currently lives in North Carolina, USA, with his wife and son.
Principal Developer Advocate, Cloudera
As the Pulsar communities grows, more and more connectors will be added. To enhance the availability of sources and sinks and to make use of the greater Apache Streaming community, joining forces between Apache NiFi and Apache Pulsar is a perfect fit. Apache NiFi also adds the benefits of ELT, ETL, data crunching, transformation, validation and batch data processing. Once data is ready to be an event, NiFi can launch it into Pulsar at light speed.
Head of Product, Ververica
Vlad is a former engineer and architect with over 15 years of experience in building distributed systems in various domains, including telecommunications, cybersecurity, and the broader field of information technology. He thrives on creating highly complex platforms and is currently leading a team at Ververica, where they are developing the next generation of a streaming data platform based on Apache Flink.
Sr. Principal Software Engineer, Yahoo!
